Capax Maritime Training Courses successfully combine the strong expertise of Capax and academic knowledge of our partners Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture from Split. Jointly, we have created courses for the maritime personnel directly involved with the engine operation. Our emphasis is on providing the profound knowledge while working with the leading manufacturers as Caterpillar and MTU for which Capax is an Authorized Service Partner.

The successful autumn 2018 season for Capax continues. This October, after exhibiting at the Monaco Yacht Show and receiving the Gold plaque in the category of the best small companies in 2017 from the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Sibenik-Knin County, its third time winning this award, the company presented its new service facilities and headquarters.

After four years, the Croatian nautical industry finally had its representative at the Monaco Yacht Show, the Croatian company Capax was one of 580 exhibitors from 38 countries across the world.

The CAPAX SME is investment project co-financed by EU regional development funds, with total value of 1,59 Mil €.

This year’s Yacht Experts Event was hosted by Capax and International Yacht Collection in Ilok, a small town in the north-eastern Croatian region – Slavonia.

At the end of the summer season, regular maintenance works were made on 72m diesel electric motor yacht with ABB Azipod propulsion thrusters powered by 2 Caterpillar and 2 MTU gen sets.

For the second year in a row, Capax has been awarded by the Regional Chamber of Commerce of Sibenik-Knin County with the Gold plaque in the category of the best small companies in 2014.

During the preventive maintenance period, with the objective to prevent potential defects in the future, our service engineers performed a replacement of the flexible couplings on Caterpillar generators CAT 3512 on the 72 m diesel electric motor yacht with the Azipod propulsion thrusters. A special goal was to have rails welded across the gen sets frames so that the front mounts can slide across, over the rail which have been supported from the bottom of the “I” beam to add stiffness.

We understand the specific demands for diverse application and as a part of the company development, we trained our service engineers for operation, maintenance and repair of MTU 538 series of marine engines. The course has been performed at MTU training center in Friedrichshafen, Germany during the November 2015.

The construction on the new Capax service hall, comprising a specialized laboratory for motor oil analysis, will begin during the first months of 2016 in Šibenik.

This year 4th annual yacht experts event hosted by Capax and International Yacht Collection took place in the Sibenik region.
